Digital Response for insurance agencies

For independent and captive agencies

Fewer water claims on your book, offered through you.

Most water losses start small and run for hours: a supply hose, a water heater, a pipe that froze while nobody was home. Digital Response fits sensors that text the homeowner the minute that happens, and a valve that can shut the water off by itself. You offer it to your policyholders; we fit it and run it.

How the partnership works

You keep the relationship. We do the fitting, the monitoring and the support, and we never sell or quote insurance.

  1. 1

    You introduce it

At a review, a renewal or a new policy, you mention it, or hand over a card with your agency's own link. We can also write the email or letter you send, under your name.

  2. 2

    We fit it

The client books a walkthrough. We map the home, fit the sensors and, where the plumbing allows, the automatic shutoff. The client pays us directly; nothing goes through your agency's books.

  3. 3

    You see who joined

Every client who came through your link is credited to your agency, and you get a list of who signed up. You know which of your carriers credit a water shutoff device; the home report gives the client what they need to ask for it.

The terms

  • Terms are agreed with each agency: a referral arrangement, an offer for your clients, or both. Tell us what works for your agency.

What your clients get

The same Home Watch a homeowner can buy from us, introduced by the agent they already trust.

Questions agencies ask

Do you sell insurance or contact my clients about it?

No. We are not an insurance agency and do not quote, sell or recommend coverage. We contact your clients only to arrange and support their install.

Does anything go to the carrier?

Not from us. The home report belongs to the homeowner, who decides whether to send it to their carrier when asking about a credit.

Can I offer it as a free gift to clients?

Ask your compliance contact first. Iowa limits what an agent may give a client in connection with a policy, and a free install may count. A referral arrangement, or an offer the client pays for, is the usual way to start; we will set it up whichever way your compliance contact approves.

I am a captive agent. Can I take the referral fee?

Check your carrier agreement first: many limit what a captive agent may be paid for products outside the carrier. If yours does, the program works without the fee: you introduce it, and your clients get the same service.

Who supports the client when something goes off at 2am?

The alert goes to the homeowner and anyone they name. Questions about the system come to us, not to your agency.

What does a pilot look like?

Pick a handful of policyholders who would welcome it, often ones with a finished basement or a home that sits empty in winter. We fit those first and report back what was caught.

Talk about a partnership

Twenty minutes is enough to see whether it fits your agency. We call within one business day.

We use these details only to arrange a call. A phone number or an email is enough.

The fine print, in plain words

  • Digital Response is monitoring and a home record, not insurance and not an inspection. It reports what its sensors touch.
  • Clients buy their plan from Digital Response, a service of Talk Studio LLC, on the same terms as any homeowner: 1, 2 or 3 years paid up front.
  • Whether a carrier gives a credit for a water shutoff device is the carrier's decision. We do not promise one.
